The Trouble with Treestands ... The Beauty of a Blind!
Since the introduction of the treestand, deer hunters, especially bowhunters, have been made to believe that climbing a tree is the only way to tag a deer. Untrue … and bad advice.

Testimonial

"When you find the mercury hovering close to zero, you'll find me in my Double Bull. The deer were moving early on this hunt, but I had to set up a good ways from where they were bedded. Being able to escape the cold late season wind allowed me to wait out this big midwest whitetail."
— Jim Hill Minnetrista MN (pictured right)

10 Reasons You Will Want to Hunt From a Blind

1. Hunting from a ground blind at eye level is more exciting! Looking down at an unaware Whitetail from a 20-foot-high treestand is exciting. But, witnessing the same encounter at eye level less than 10 steps away is incredibly intense. Being ultra-close and eye-to-eye with wild game is, for many hunters, extremely rare. In a Double Bull premium blind, you'll find yourself in adrenaline-charged stand-offs more than you ever dreamed possible. And, trust us, you'll like it!

2. Sometimes the best spot has no good tree nearby — or no tree at all! Of course, there's a time and place for a treestand, but the very best hunters are versatile and have a variety of hunting tools in their arsenal. A Double Bull ground blind should be one of them. Many times, a big bucks preferred travel route has no good tree nearby. So next time you're standing there on the incredible rubline or near the bathtub-sized scrape, wishing for a tree that isn't there, don't walk away. Grab a Double Bull blind, slip in like a ghost, brush it in downwind, and get ready!

3. Sometimes the wind is wrong, and its a lot easier to move a blind than it is to move a treestand! Many times, you know where the deer are going to show, but the wind is wrong for your treestand. Instead of needing 10 treestands on your 80 acres to accommodate every wind direction, buy one Double Bull blind!

4. Treestands are noisy to carry, noisy to set up, noisy when its cold. The loud “clank” of metal on metal carries long distances and is easy for deer to associate with human activity. So is the creaking noise that your treestand makes when you shift your weight or when its really cold. Noise doesn't work.

5. Treestands can be dangerous. Every year, deer hunters are permanently injured or killed as a result of falls from treestands. While the stands themselves have certainly become safer, and while we now have the benefit of better safety harnesses, instructional videos, etc. the fact remains that getting into and out of a treestand is always risky business no matter how careful you are. Many hunters decide at some point that the few benefits of treestand hunting are simply not worth the substantial risks.

6. Its easier to share a ground blind than a treestand. Many times, you'd like to take along a friend or family member to share the hunting experience and pass it on. A Double Bull blind hides movement, holds in scent and muffles noise. That means you can have a fun and effective hunt together.

The Best Way to Bag a Bird
Successful turkey hunting is all about patience and outsmarting the incredible eyesight and paranoid nature of a wild turkey. Hunting out of a Double Bull premium blind is a recipe for turkey hunting success!

7. Ideal cover whenever you need it. No matter if you have to set up on a gobbling bird in a matter of seconds, or if you have the birds patterned, a Double Bull premium ground blind is the ticket. Without a wide tree to sit against, turkey hunters get nervous that they'll be seen. Not inside a Double Bull! Park it in an open field or in the woods. No need to try to hide it. The turkeys will pay no attention! Its the ultimate concealment at a moments notice, no matter the landscape.

8. Raise your gun, draw your bow or operate your call without being detected. Every veteran turkey hunter knows that any subtle movement when a turkeys eye is on you spells failure. We've all been pinned down with a bird in range, unable to get the shot. Not anymore! Inside a Double Bull blind you can slowly swivel into position and take aim undetected. With the bright daylight outside contrasting with the dark blind interior, turkeys wont see you. That spells success!

9. A comfortable chair inside sure beats hard ground against a tree. You can't practice patience if you're in pain. That worn-out seat cushion just doesn't do the job anymore, and your aching knees aren't as young as they used to be! Sitting on the hard ground is no way to hunt effectively! Inside a Double Bull premium blind you'll see the birds coming and be able to shift into position undetected. Take your time and aim from a comfortable shooting position. No cramped muscles! Turkey hunting made comfortable and fun!

10. Escape the wind, escape the rain. If its cold and wet outside, you'll probably bail before 9 a.m. And the gobbler will show up right on schedule at 9:30. Were back to patience here. A lot of turkey hunters don't even hunt in the rain, but do you really want to burn a precious day of your season because of the weather? The turkeys are still on the ground doing their thing. Inside a Double Bull blind, you can be out there doing yours, your favorite hunting partner alongside, soaking it all in!
